Simon Acres Recruitment are working with a leading independent building and plumbing merchant based in Northamptonshire, who are looking for a part-time Showroom Advisor.
This role is paying a basic salary of £19,000 (genuinely negotiable for the right candidate), plus Commission.
Working Hours: Weekends, Saturday 8.30-5pm Sunday 10-4pm. Plus 2 x days in the week.
The Role:
- Warmly greet visitors into the showroom, offer refreshments and assess their requirements
- Responsible for directing visitors to the relevant Sales Consultant, if available, within either the Kitchen or Bathroom Department dependant on the customer’s requirement
- If there are no Sales Consultants available develop a booking system to book the customer an appointment at a convenient later date
- Build and maintain relationships with repeat customers in the showroom
- Promptly, accurately and professionally answer 100% of received calls
- Enquire as to the nature of the calls in order to refer to the appropriate person
- Relay accurate messages
- Complete administration duties as required, including typing for Sales Consultants, brochure ordering and product ordering
Candidate Requirements:
- Excellent telephone manner
- Previous receptionist experience
- Previous switchboard experience (desirable)
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office; Word, Outlook and Excel
- Confident and outgoing with strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Confident and highly motivated
- Must have a full UK driving licence
