PR and Social Media Manager

 

The Role

The PR and Social Media Manager will primarily be responsible for the day-to-day management of all press related activity and social media channels, helping to drive brand awareness through great press coverage and engaging content.

You will write our communications and manage PR and Social Media campaigns that reach our target audience and meet both the long and short-term commercial objectives of the business. This role is focused on the activity that really makes a difference, turning insight into great PR and social media activities that deliver results.

 

Insightful and resourceful you will proactively build and maintain excellent relationships with the media and online influencers particularly within design, interiors, consumer, and lifestyle. You will be expected to contribute creative ideas across both PR and social and sell-in agreed stories proactively to media.

 

Responsibilities:

Press Office

  • Act as a reliable and responsive point of contact for the press office (both reactive and proactive) dealing with enquiries from all media
  • Plan, implement and deliver all PR strategies
  • Write and issue all press releases, social media posts and other press materials to targeted media. Ensure follow up calls to generate publicity
  • Collate and analyse all press coverage providing reports and presentations
  • Manage and build excellent relationships with all media, particularly design and interiors, architecture, trade, lifestyle and nationals in addition to bloggers and influencers
  • Main copywriter for the business including writing copy for the website, advertorials, sales materials etc
  • Manage all photography shoots at client’s houses and RH showrooms, liaising with stylist, photographer and client
  • Organise press events from design of invitations, catering and ensuring good attendance
  • Attend press related events from partners and RH own brand events
  • Manage and update press database
  • Support Marketing Manager with content for the website – updating case studies, copy changes, create new blog posts weekly, tagging images

 

Social Media

  • Manage the social media strategy for the company ensuring it aligns with the company’s brand
  • Develop a content calendar across all platforms ensuring a constant supply of relevant content
  • Maximise followers on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest. Ensure that approaches to social media are relevant and appropriate for each medium
  • Monitoring social media and google reviews for customer comments
  • Report on social media mentions of the brand internally providing useful feedback to sales and marketing teams
  • Offer a good working knowledge of social media and keep up to date with advances in the latest social media platforms
  • Maintain a good awareness of competitor activity

 

Ideal Background

  • Previous experience as a social media manager and or PR manager in luxury sector
  • Strong understanding of content management systems
  • Excellent understanding of digital marketing, search engine optimisation and how social media impacts this

 

Salary £30,000 – 3 days a week working remotely with 1 day a month spent at head office Wigmore Street
