Simon Acres Recruitment are seeking a Branch Manager for a well established independent merchant in Glasgow. This role will incorporate leading a team to deliver exceptional customer service in a demanding business to business environment. 

This position is paying up to £40,000 for the right candidate as well as a bonus and company car.

Your duties will include:

  • Picking your team and be involved with the setup of the branch from the start
  • Building strong relationships with your colleagues
  • Motivating, training, and developing the team
  • Organising both yourself and others through the ability to plan, prioritise and delegate
  • Leading and inspiring your team to achieve the very highest levels of performance

This is the ideal job for an Assistant Manager or Manager who has experience in a Builders Merchant or similar environment.

You should:

  • Be an inspiring leader, communicator, and team builder
  • Build and maintain effective customer relationships
  • Drive sales and profitability forward
  • Deliver outstanding customer service
  • Control costs without compromising the customer experience
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting supported by an internal business partner

 

You will have a proven background in people management and sales and should be able to exhibit your achievements in these areas. Experience in training would also be an advantage.
