Simon Acres Recruitment are excited to be recruiting for a forward thinking established company based in Yorkshire, to find an Assistant Management Accountant.
Salary: paying £30,000 - £35,000
Annual Leave: 32 Days incl. Bank Holidays & Christmas Shutdown
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 8.45am-5pm, Friday 8.45am-4pm
The Role:
- Managing expense processing through SAP Concur, including providing training on the system when required
- Managing supplier payment runs
- Maintaining daily cashflow forecasts for GBP & EUR accounts
- Maintaining an up-to-date record of the fixed asset register
- Preparing for quarterly VAT returns
- Preparing National Statistics returns
- Reconciling monthly balance sheet
- Preparing monthly prepayments and accruals
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Providing analysis on operational costs including PPV reporting
- Assisting with the year end audit process
- Continually reviewing finance processes and seeking improvements
- Knowledge and experience working in a similar role (preferably in a B2B environment)
- Ideally a part-qualified accountant studying CIMA or ACCA
- Strong Excel Skills
- Desire to progress within the role
- Experienced in using SAP (advantageous)
- Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills
